Nutmeg or Myristica fragrans is one of the agricultural commodities that are to become farmers in the province of North Maluku, Indonesia. Nutmeg plants grow in almost all the fertile plains of North Maluku provinces. Makian island, Tidore island, Patani island and Halmahera island are the center has become a nutmeg plantation which was developed by traditional farmer from generation to generation. Until now farmer in nutmeg production centers is still sold in the form of dry beans as a commodity spices with the price fluctuation is likely to follow the trend of the world market demand. High world market demand for dry beans nutmeg make farming increasingly sought by farmers in general North Maluku province.
With the support of materials of the nutmeg beans and mace (fuli) enough available at any time, we plant to expand oil refining in the centres of nutmeg plantation.
